
Short biography
I has a political science background and a PhD in Local Development and Global Dynamics from the University of Trento. She has extensive fieldwork experience in three continents. She has been working with very different actors from producers’ and indigenous organizations, to youth activists and students. She has been analyzing contexts that are the crossroad between contrasting belief systems: Brazilian agrarian reform, policy forest governance in Argentina, Global Citizenship Education in Europe and North America, community based organizations in Mozambique.
Her research is at the crossroads of education, critical sustainability and sociology. She engage with how citizens act towards transformation, giving voice to knowledge of youth and marginalized groups such as indigenous and small peasants, for epistemic injustice. Currently she is a visiting researcher at the University of Bologna, external researcher contractor at the University of Technion (Israel) for the ERC funded project Studact . She is also an Associated Senior Research Scientist at the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE) at University of Bern (CH).
