Short biography

Education: M.A. in Sociology, Ural Federal University, Russia. Thesis: Universality as a Social Characteristic of Educated Professionals. B.A. in Sociology, Ural Federal University.

Research interests: Sociology of Education, Sociology of Future, Academic Migration, Global Middle Class.

Methodological focus: qualitative and mixed-methods research, elicitation techniques.

Experience beyond academia: Managed research and strategy teams; designed and led foresight sessions for technological companies.

PhD project

“Academic Identity and Agency through the Lens of Imagined Futures across Career Stages”. My work explores how outstanding STEM educators construct and negotiate their professional trajectories and how cultural, institutional and personal factors shape their possibilities for action within academia.
